A FANTASTIC show of community spirit was on display at Clifton Springs Golf Club on Sunday 8 March, as 132 players took part in the Drysdale Mowers Charity Golf Day in support of Hope Bereavement Care.

The event brought together golfers, local businesses and supporters from across the region, all united by the common goal of raising much-needed funds for the organisation, which provides invaluable support to families experiencing grief and loss.

Played in perfect conditions, the Ambrose format encouraged plenty of camaraderie and laughter on the course.

While the golf was fiercely contested, the real winner was Hope Bereavement Care, with generous donations from players and local businesses helping raise vital funds for the charity.

The final fundraising total is still being calculated and will be confirmed in the coming days, but early signs suggest the event will make a meaningful contribution to Hope’s work in the community.

The success of the day was made possible through the support of local sponsors and businesses, who once again demonstrated the strength of the Bellarine community. Their generosity helped ensure a fantastic prize pool and raffle offering, which added to the excitement throughout the day.

On the course, the local team of Rick Parker, Jimmy Watach and TJ Leigh (Queens Park) emerged victorious, producing a superb round to claim the major prize. The trio took home brand new Cobra drivers, each valued at close to $1,000, after finishing on top of a strong field of competitors.

Events like the Drysdale Mowers Charity Golf Day highlight the power of community and the positive impact that can be achieved when people come together for a meaningful cause.

Clifton Springs Golf Club was proud to host the day and grateful to everyone who played, donated, volunteered or supported the event in any way.

A sincere thank you goes to all players, sponsors and supporters who helped make the day such a success.

Your generosity will help Hope Bereavement Care continue to provide comfort, support and guidance to families when they need it most.
