Gawk Outdoor expands billboards into NSW
LEADING regional Victorian Out-Of-Home (OOH) advertiser Gawk Outdoor is expanding into regional NSW with the coming launch of four new digital billboards in the greater Newcastle area.
The move marks Gawk’s first significant venture outside its traditional territory.
The new digital billboards, which will go live on November 18, are in Gawk’s characteristic “Super8” format, and will increase the company’s footprint, giving regional businesses in this part of NSW an innovative and powerful way to connect with their local audiences.
“This is bloody exciting for our business,” Gawk director James Course said.
“These first four panels across the Hunter are already proving popular across local clients since opening presales.”
To spearhead this expansion, Gawk Outdoor has announced the appointment of Sam Brown as director of sales for NSW.
With an impressive background in media and sales, Mr Brown brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Having previously worked in OOH advertising at JCDecaux as well as leading local sales teams across Newcastles SCA & NBN
radio and television stations, he is well positioned to lead Gawk’s growth in regional NSW.
“We’re stoked to bring Gawk’s unique outdoor advertising brand to regional NSW,” Mr Brown said.
“It’s a market that deserves high-quality, impactful advertising for businesses of all sizes, and we know we can deliver that.”
Founded in 2018, Gawk Outdoor has more than 200 digital and static billboard locations and holds more than 50 per cent market share of the Regional Victoria’s large format OOH sector.
Their network of billboards is reaching more and more people each month, with more than 20 digital billboards in key Victorian towns and locations across every major highway in the state.
