Geelong calendar cover winner announced
A VIBRANT aerial shot of Eastern Beach’s promenade and swimming enclosure has been crowned the cover shot of the 2025 City of Greater Geelong Calendar.
Sea Baths by Geelong local Louise Edebone was unveiled as the winner of the annual photography extravaganza last week.
Ms Edebone said she was thrilled to have the winning shot.
“We are spoilt for choice living in this beautiful region, not only within Geelong city but also beyond with the rural landscapes and surf coast. There is so much to experience within easy reach.
“The historic sea bath and timber promenade evoke the carefree summers of yesteryear.”
More than 750 people submitted photos into the competition in 2024, with 3,100 unique voters weighing in on their favourite shots.
City of Greater Geelong chief executive officer Ali Wastie said the yearly calendar continues to be popular with residents.
“Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo for the calendar competition.
“It is always a pleasure to see Greater Geelong through so many different lenses.”
The 2025 calendars will be available in December from the following customer service centres.
– Wurriki Nyal – 137-149 Mercer Street, Geelong
– Corio Shopping Centre – Corner Bacchus Marsh and Purnell Roads
– Boronggook Drysdale Library – 2-8 Wyndham Street, Drysdale.
Residents unable to collect a calendar can receive one via mail if they register via phone or online form before Friday, November 29.
