Geelong ferry route extended
PORT Phillip Ferries has extended its Saturday route between Portarlington and Geelong until the end of January.
The added route came after the company celebrated its first anniversary of crossing the bay between Portarlington and Docklands.
Port Phillip Ferries initially committed its passenger service between Portarlington and Docklands for three years.
However, chief executive officer Murray Rance said that after seeing the results of its first year of operation, the company was looking to extend that into the future.
“In fact, just this month saw the inclusion of a new service route every Saturday afternoon between Portarlington and Geelong,” Mr Rance said last month.
