Geelong mayor Trent Sullivan said the Matildas have captured our hearts and united us all in a chorus of support.

“We encourage everyone to come out in their finest green and gold attire, bring their own chairs or picnic rugs, and be part of this historic moment for Australian sports,” Deputy Mayor Aitken said.

“Let’s join hands, wear our green and gold with pride, and support our Matildas as they aim to place third in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.”
