Geelong’s Christmas Opening night moves indoors

PREDICTED heavy rain and thunderstorms have forced the November 30 Christmas Opening Night – Denis Walter Carols event to be moved indoors to the Geelong Arena.

The move will ensure the community can still be part of the celebration, however as a result attendance will be limited and free tickets needs to be obtained online before the event.

The lighting of the Christmas tree will now be livestreamed from the Arena, rather than the originally planned public event.

860 general admission tickets and 20 accessible tickets will be available.

Doors will open from 5pm with preshow entertainment beginning at 6.30pm and showtime at 8pm.
