Geelong’s Kids Plus Foundation makes a splash at Fishos
HIGH school and university students as well as volunteers from Jan Juc Surf Lifesaving Club gathered at Fishos in late January to supervise the Kids Plus Foundation’s summer water program.
Running for its second year, the program aims to help children with cerebral palsy to engage in a fun and safe physiotherapy session out on the water.
A challenge for parents of children with special needs to get down to the beach, the support from volunteers gives families and their little ones an opportunity to enjoy a summer’s day out in Torquay.
Delivered across three days, it was all handson deck at Fishos, with jet ski rides and water activities organised by volunteers on offer.
