Get creative at market next week

OVER 20 creatives from the 3228 area are gathering together at Peppers The Sands Resort Torquay to showcase their talent and sell locally made goods just in time for Christmas.

Several brands including Tea Thief, Willow & Bach, Michy Ann, Spankd body scrubs, Sunkissed Torquay, Yogi Peace Club and many more will be setting upshop on Thursday December 13 from 5pm.

Event organiser Bodie Bos, owner of Surfcoast Beauty and Eyota Clothing, hopes locals in the community will come along to show their support for a night of fun.

“I decided to organise this local market to showcase some of the talented people we have in our town,” she said.

“All stall holders are local to Torquay or Jan Juc and either design or handmake their products.

“We have just over 20 stallholders on board as well as three local young musicians busking at the event.” The market is being held at the Sands Resort in the Balmoral room.

The bar inside the function room will be open to enjoy a drink while you browse and shop. Food will also be on offer from the Sands Restaurant. Entry to the market is free. Further details can be found on Facebook.

Bodie said she is excited to give artisans in the area a platform to offer their products.

“I want nothing more than for it to be a huge success for all the stallholders,” she said.
