Get inspired and learn at Geelong Small Business Festival

August 29, 2021 BY

Those starting or growing a business are being encouraged to take advantage of a range of free and low-cost events of offer at this year’s Geelong Small Business Festival.

The event, which is already underway, features more than 40 events ranging from how to build great teams remotely, creating a pet-friendly workplace and a masterclass on networking.

Mayor Stephanie Asher said the events are designed to help locals improve, expand or even start their own business.

“The festival brings together some of our region’s best business experts and leading industry organisations to share their knowledge and experiences,” she said.

“It’s a unique opportunity to learn from industry specialists and build professional networks at a critical time for local business.

“It’s vital that we support local businesses so they’re in the best position to respond to the changes in our economy.”

She said with local businesses experiencing the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Geelong Small Business Festival was probably the most important yet.

The sessions included in the festival aim to help entrepreneurs and small business owners to build new skills, gain confidence and learn about how others are overcoming challenges.
