Jack Rabbit wins top Golden Plate award
JACK Rabbit Vineyard has won the prestigious Golden Plate at the Victorian Golden Plate Awards.
The top Golden Plate award goes to the best overall hospitality venue in the state. Jack Rabbit Vineyard was also awarded Best Contemporary Restaurant Dining.
Jack Rabbit Vineyard general manager Lyndsay Sharp said she was delighted for everyone at the winery to receive the recognition at the awards, held recently at The Dunes in Ocean Grove.
“We are all so proud of what we do here, always striving to provide the best possible customer experience and everyone is delighted to receive this award. It is very gratifying that the team’s hard work, dedication and love of hospitality is recognised like this.
“In particular, huge cheers to our talented culinary team spearheaded by executive chef Dwayne Bourke, Adrian Tozer, Eli Grubb, Tara Murdoch and Kevin Mapu as well as our outstanding front of house team led by operations manager Martin Fearn and floor managers Mimi Lock, Amie Bradbury and Briony O’Connor.”
The awards are judged by an independent panel of judges who anonymously visit the venues. The scores they give are based on the entire experience, which the judges stated Jack Rabbit Vineyard certainly provided.
“Jack Rabbit is a beautiful restaurant. The menu is exceptional, the produce sourced as locally as possible and of a very high standard. Each dish is presented well, with creativity, colour and texture.
“The service is excellent, and the view of the Bellarine coastline just amazing. There is no better way to spend a day than eating and drinking with friends or family at such a lovely place.”
Earlier in the year, Jack Rabbit Winery were awarded Best Restaurant in a Winery and Best Tourism Restaurant (Victoria & Tasmania) at the Savour Australia Restaurant and Catering Awards.
