THE Clifton Springs Golf Club has handed out more than $12,000 in the latest round of its Community Grant Program.

Recipients gathered at the clubhouse recently to officially receive their cheques from Clifton Springs Golf Club president Michael Scott.

Each year, the club invites local community groups and sporting clubs to apply to the funding pool to put towards existing programs or to fast-track facility improvements.

This year’s recipients, for a total of $12,015, were:

  • Bellarine Sharks A.F.C – $6,000
  • Leopold Angling & Aquatic – $4,000
  • Wombats Wish – $1,500, and
  • Bellarine North Rotary Club – $515.

Mr Scott said there were a smaller number of applicants this year than in 2023, but this year’s recipients were all worthy causes the club was happy to support.

Previous recipients of the fund include Clifton Springs Tennis Club, Drysdale Soccer Club, Clifton Springs Bowls Club, St Leonards Bowls Club, Clifton Springs Community Men’s Shed and the Wallington Cricket Club.
