Golf day raises more than $24,000 for BCNA

THE Pink Lady Golf Day has celebrated its 15th consecutive year at 13th Beach Golf Links. Held on Monday, the event raised more than $24,000 for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), which over the last 15 years has raised over $320,000.

More than 90 corporate and individual donors and sponsors contribute to the day, most from the Geelong, Bellarine and Surf Coast regions, with 13th Beach Golf Links and Duffs Jewellers being the major sponsors.

Participants come from throughout Victoria, with most from the Geelong region but many also come from Melbourne and country Victorian clubs.

Lyn Swinburne, the founder of BCNA and a keen golfer herself, plays in the event each year and this year spoke to the players during the lunch that followed golf.

This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of Breast Cancer Network Australia.
