Gospel Jam raises more than $300 for foodbank

October 31, 2019 BY

Kirri, Lia, Joy, Jenny and Chris take part in the fundraising event at the weekend.

ORGANISERS say the Bellarine Gospel Jam in Drysdale at the weekend was a success, with about 40 people coming along to watch or share their talent.
MaryAnne Gardiner from Belonging Ministries said the performances on Sunday were varied and included guitarists, vocalists, pianists and a ukulele performance.
“There was an opportunity for various artists to join together and have a jam along with the vocalists who encouraged the crowd to be part of some of the performances.
“More than $300 was raised to support the Drysdale Foodbank.”
She said another Gospel Jam was planned for late January.
“Any artists who would like to join in and perform are encouraged to email Chris Harms and book a place on the program.
“All local musicians are welcome to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their talent or gain some valuable live gig experience.”
