Gracey donates hair to wigs for kids
LEOPOLD youngster Gracey Mclaren, 7, will undergo a big hair cut later this month to support kids who need wigs.
Gracey will donate 39-centimetre lengths of her hair to the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation, and has raised nearly $750 for the Wigs For Kids program, with a goal of $1,000.
Gracey said, “One of my friends did it last year and I was like, ‘mum, I want to cut my hair, and then she said no, and I said well can I do it for kids with cancer and then she said yes’.”
Gracey’s family will host a fundraising event at their home on Saturday September 22, where she will undergo the big chop.
