Gudauskas brothers take on local surfers

WORLD Surf League professionals Patrick and Tanner Gudauskas are now honorary members of 13th Beach Boardriders Club and will always have a cult following on the Bellarine.

The brothers spent some time meeting the young members on Saturday, and also took on the club’s best talent to surf in what was dubbed the “Gudauskas Superheat”.

“Club junior surfing sensation Billy Harrison took out the heat with deep barrel riding and massive carves in front of Tanner Gudauskas close by in second place with his hi-fi aerial attack,” Club President Christian Pritchett said.

“Not far away was Josh Johnson-Baxter, Pat Gudauskas, Kian Major and Zeph Lamperd.”

Pritchett said it made for a day to remember for everyone involved, and it drew a crowd of many to see the ocean deliver and the competitors light up some high performance surfing.
