Gunshot wound leaves Point Lonsdale man critical as police investigate

A man is in a critical condition after a shooting in Point Lonsdale on Thursday.

Police say the 37-year-old man sought help for a gunshot wound at a medical clinic on Nelson Road at about 10.30am.

He was later airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers attended a property on Gill Road shortly after the incident and arrested a 55-year-old man.

Police believe the pair are known to each other.
