Hawks turns tables to win thriller against Coutas
DRYSDALE turned around its fortunes after being on the wrong side of a close one earlier this BNL A grade season.
After losing to Queenscliff 45-43 in Round 3, the Hawks came to play last weekend and emerged 47-43 victors on their home court.
Scores were level at 34 apiece at three-quarter-time.
“It was insane. It was so good,” coach Calsey Taylor said.
“Obviously, it was such a tough game. Queenscliff are so strong and so skilful. The first part of the game was really frantic but I think once we settled into our game in the second half, it really worked for us.”

Taylor said the Hawks focused on playing quarter-by-quarter, rather than the end result.
“We’ve had those tough, close games all season so we were ready for it.
“And this time we just got over the line. I honestly don’t know what it was.
“We had such a team effort. I don’t know how they would’ve picked best-on or anything because every single one of those girls played their role.”
Tomorrow (Saturday, June 28), the Hawks take on Anglesea away at 1.50pm.
