LOCAL groups and clubs hoping to secure funding to bring their projects to life are invited to join federal Corangamite MP Libby Coker at a skill-building grant workshop next week.

The 2025 Go for Grants information session, to be held at Grovedale Neighbourhood House on Wednesday, July 16 from 6pm, will equip attendees with practical tips and valuable insights into writing successful grant applications.

“There are many grants out there that can help our fantastic sporting clubs, community groups and advocacy bodies upgrade facilities, expand programs and deliver important projects – but knowing how best to apply is key,” Ms Coker said.

“This event is about giving them the tools and confidence to go after the grants that can bring their projects to life.

“The strategies and insights shared on the night will enhance your grant writing skills and increase your chances of securing funding for your projects.”

The event will feature guest speakers, including past grant recipients and representatives from the City of Greater Geelong, who will offer advice on navigating the grants process and crafting compelling applications.

The evening will also include an interactive Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on grant applications, and networking opportunities to connect with potential collaborators, funding agencies and fellow grant seekers.

The information session builds on last year’s successful Go for Grants workshop in Ocean Grove, which attracted more than 130 attendees from clubs and groups across the region.

Those eager to stay up to date with the latest grant opportunities are encouraged to subscribe to Ms Coker’s monthly Grants Bulletin via libbycoker.com.au/news/grants-bulletin.
