AN EMPTY paddock at Oneday Estate Winery will be transformed into a display of all things historic for the annual vintage machinery event next weekend.
Hosted by the Bellarine Vintage Machinery Group Inc, the April 13 event will feature vintage tractors and engines, classic cars, working demonstrations, horse and cart rides and much more.
Children will also be entertained throughout the day with different tractor games and prizes up for grabs.
Group secretary Graeme Brown said the group ran the event as a way of displaying different pieces of machinery.
“It’s to use the heritage machines and use them how they used to be used in the old days so people can see how farming used to be done on the Bellarine.

“They’ll be really interested and able to comprehend what they [the machines] used to do in the old days, where all the grain comes from.”
Mr Brown said they also hope people will be well entertained throughout the event, with this year also including a 1900 chaff cutter as part of the display.
The Bellarine Vintage Machinery Group Inc run as a not-for-profit organisation restoring, preserving and displaying different pieces of vintage machinery.
After the 2024 event was cancelled due to poor weather, this year is the first time the group has hosted the event on their own, previously running as a subgroup of the Bellarine Agricultural Society.
The event will run from 9am until 3pm. Entry is $10 for adults and free for children.
