Despite gale-force winds hitting the Surf Coast over the weekend, hundreds of locals and tourists turned out to support a range of performers at the Aireys Inlet Open Mic Music Festival. The annual event showcased more than 140 local and national artists across nine stages and three days, with the main events being held on the Sunday. Melbourne act the Drop Bears highlighted the gig as one of the biggest they’ve ever played and hope to be invited back next year. Australian indie rock icon Adalita Srsen finished off the event as the mystery guest at the Aireys Pub Band Marquee on Sunday afternoon. Other highlights included local band favourites Children of the Sun playing their last ever show. Event organisers were thrilled with the crowds and are looking forward to next year.
