Part of Cape Otway Road to close for three weeks
CAPE Otway Road will be closed at Modewarre for three weeks during March for strengthening of a bridge east of Gherang Road. The Surf Coast Shire is working in partnership with the VicRoads Fixing Country Roads program to complete the important work at Tea Tree Creek, replacing a 1950s bridge deck. The road is scheduled for closure from March 12, with diversions to be in place and variable message signs at key locations advising of changed conditions. Motorists who do not need access to the local area are asked to use alternative routes.

Anglesea Road works to finish next week
THE final stages of road safety improvement works are now under way on Anglesea Road between Dickins Road and McIntyres Road. Works include new asphalt, guard rail and line marking, and are expected to be completed by Tuesday, March 5. To complete these works safely, lanes will be closed and speed limits lowered to 40kmh. VicRoads has asked that drivers take care, drive safely, adhere to the changed speeds and plan ahead by allowing extra time to reach their destination.
