Man dies at Bells Beach
A MAN has died at Bells Beach after being found unconscious in the water last week. Emergency services were called to the beach at about 10.15am on Thursday May 31 after they received reports of an unconscious man in the water. Paramedics treated the man at the scene but he could not be saved. He is believed to be a 67-year-old man from Altona, known to locals and with a 30-year history of surfing at the famous break. Melbourne ferry to be trialed
PORT Phillip Ferries has announce an agreement with the Committee for Geelong to run two free trial services in late July, running direct from central Geelong to Docklands. The trials will include a commuter service plus a Corio Bay ferry familiarisation and leisure tour. Passengers will be able to book a seat via the Port Phillip Ferries website in the coming weeks. A gold coin donation will be collected on the day to go towards a local charity
