IT service with a local touch

FOR more than 15 years, Geelong-based IT company GravIT have been servicing the region with their expert skills and knowledge.

Locally owned and operated, GravIT is a managed service provider (MSP), acting as an outsourced IT department for businesses of all sizes.

GravIt managing director and technician Daniel Strumpel said the company has a broad set of customers and its technicians have a lot of experience in different environments to meet the demand.

“A small business in particular wouldn’t be able to afford a dedicated IT person to look after their infrastructure,” he said.

“For less than the cost on an employee, the companies get access to a team of IT professionals and a broad scope of skillsets.”

As a Geelong-based company, the money stays in the region, contributing to community events including this year’s Pako Festa.

“We employ people in the local community and therefore our employees are in the community and buying products from others,” Mr Strumpel said.

“Having someone local is really important, it also means that if someone needs us on site, we can actually be there because we’re here.”

Trust is also a major focus for the company, understanding that they have access to a wide range of data and information.

Mr Strumpel believes it is the company’s customer service that has led to GravIT’s success and sets them apart from the competition.

“If you contact GravIT, you get a tec almost straight away, we endeavour to make sure that we have tecs that actually answer the phone and the person that answers the phone is actually the person that can solve the problem for you,” he said.

“We remove all the barriers to getting support because at the end of the day, that’s what customers are paying for, we’re not trying to handle the customers, we’re trying to help.”
