THE Barwon Heads community could not be more proud of their own Jakara Anthony, who finished fourth in the women’s moguls in PyeongChang.

The 19-year-old Winter Games debutant produced the best result of her career, and her performance was Australia’s best ever placing in a women’s moguls event.

“I’m super excited about that,” Jakara told media outlets.

“It was the result I’d been hoping for all season and to achieve it at the Olympics is really special.”

Her score of 75.35 was 2.05 points shy of a medal but was her best career finish, with fellow Victorian Britt Cox coming in fifth place.
