Jan Juc Playgroup celebrates Christmas

THE Jan Juc Playgroup has enjoyed its last celebration for the year – its Christmas Party.

Held at Bob Pettit Reserve on Thursday, mums, dads and children enjoyed singing and face painting by Willow Star, the Lions train and craft provided by local family daycare providers.

There was a raffle with donations from local businesses, which raised valuable funds to keep the playgroup running.

Special guests were Surf Coast Shire mayor David Bell, Cr Rose Hodge and Santa.

The Jan Juc Playgroup is volunteer run and offers three open sessions each week as well as closed sessions for mother’s groups.

The group has had a fabulous year with an increase in membership and a brand new outside playspace, funded by the shire.
