Jim Wall Iron Man postponed due to extreme weather

TODAY’s Jim Wall Iron Man has been postponed.

The dramatic change in weather forced lifesavers from the Torquay Surf Life Saving Club to close Torquay Surf Beach, where the event was set to be held.

The Jim Wall Iron Man will now take place on the morning of Saturday, February 29.

Strong winds have forced beach closures along the Surf Coast and Bellarine, including at Fairhaven, Anglesea, Jan Juc, Torquay Front Beach, Bancoora, Raff’s Beach, Queenscliff.

The VIP event that was set to run with the event has also been cancelled, although the bar remains open.
