Explore Australia’s coastline solo or with a team, raising money for LifeChanger Foundation programs through virtual challenge KM’s4KIDS.

Founded by Scott Watters, LifeChanger Foundation delivers self-development workshops to empower teenagers through positive self-identity to help create and sustain safe and resilient communities.

Although LifeChanger’s adventure challenges are on hold, the foundation is giving you, your friends, teammates, and work colleagues an opportunity to take part in LifeChanger’s KM’s4KIDS virtual challenge and potentially change a teenager’s life in doing so.

“We know how important it is to bring the community together at this present time, from young people to mentors, school and sporting club communities,” Scott said of the challenge.

“Bringing everyone together to help support each is paramount.  We also know that there are so many different pressures surrounding our kids today and we wanted to make sure that our programs would be there to help support them.

“We discovered this virtual challenge opportunity and realised that it fits nicely with the foundation’s core values and our 5 pillars around health, self, skills, purpose and tribe.

“So we decided to run this event to help us drive awareness of LifeChanger Foundation and what we do within communities, especially during these unprecedented times.”

Participants can go solo or register as a team and walk, run, swim, paddle or cycle and clock up as many kilometres as possible, virtually tracking kilometres around the Australian coast – all 18,182 kilometres, if you’re keen.

“The uptake so far has been amazing,” Scott said.

“Particularly from a number of corporate leaders who understand the importance of health and wellbeing, connection with their team, and also giving back to the community.

“They are passionate about helping their employees and are committed to having their teams participate in this challenge.

“Some of the sponsors supporting our event including Repco, Bevilles, ANZ and Crusader Caravans.  We are extremely grateful to have such amazing supporters backing our event and getting their own people onboard. We anticipate this will be a huge success and will become a yearly event for LifeChanger Foundation.”

The Virtual Challenge kicks off on August 15 and each team or individual has 30 days to travel virtually as far as possible around the coast, before the challenge wraps up September 15.

Every dollar raised helps LifeChanger Foundation empower young people to thrive and live resilient lives.
