Labor answers the call from Portarlington Neighbourhood House

November 1, 2018 BY

PORTARLINGTON Neighbourhood House will receive $5237 to install an integrated telephone system and closed circuit wireless camera to monitor after hours access to the facility.

Bellarine MP Lisa Neville said Portarlington was one of 26 neighbourhood houses across Victoria supported to make minor works, equipment and communication technology upgrades.

The works are funded through the state government’s Minor Capital Works Non- Recurrent Grants program.

“Portarlington Neighbourhood House is extremely well managed by Julie Hyslop in partnership with Sue Wilson and is part of the fabric of the Bellarine community,” Ms Neville said.

“We want more Victorians to spend time at their local neighbourhood house – and that starts with upgrading and modernising their facilities.”

These capital works form part of the Labor Government’s overall $21.8 million investment over four years for the Neighbourhood Houses Co-ordination Program.
