A RE-ELECTED Labor Government will inject $225,000 into Barwon Heads Football Netball Club and Barwon Heads Cricket Club.

The funding will go towards new lighting, allowing the club to train and play at night.

The club boasts a proud history and a growing number of members, including a junior development program.

Bellarine MP Lisa Neville said Barwon Heads was proud of its sporting success – and so it should be.

“With this investment, we’ll make sure the Barwon Heads Cricket Club continues to go from strength to strength.”

The recent announcement is in addition to the $100,000 delivered by Labor to upgrade the Cricket Club’s new shade shelter, which was opened earlier this year.

The commitment also builds on the Andrews Government’s investment in local sport, including over $8 million for the Drysdale Sports Precinct upgrade and the recent $200,000 for new lighting at Collendina Sports Ground as part of Pick My Project.
