December 19, 2017 BY

On OCTOBER 28, the newest childcare centre in torquay, Child’s Play, held a hugely successful open day.

More than 100 groups of people came through the doors to check out the new childcare centre, with many fun activities for the whole family.

Willow Star was face painting and creating balloon art, Hey-Dee-Ho performed a set that engaged the children in singing and dancing activities, while massage therapist Laura Calderone provided free 10-minute massages for the weary mums and dads.

Child’s Play resident chef Genea cooked up a storm on the barbecue with families also sampling delicious desserts.

the service has been set up with children and families as the focus.

there are many interesting and stimulating play spaces and experiences to engage children in, such as sensory, imaginative, science, numeracy and literacy and construction.

“the Yards are vast and open to encourage multi-age play. We believe the outdoor spaces are just as important as the indoor to create purposeful learning experiences for the children to enjoy and explore,” Child’s Play torquay owner Sam Johnson said.

“We also have a community space for mums and bubs groups, yoga, baby massage, playgroups and coffee mornings.”

Child’s Play early learning is a growing, family-owned and run childcare service. The Torquay centre will officially open on December 4.

The beautiful purpose-built facility can accommodate 141 children from six weeks to six years old, and will operate between 6.30am-6.30pm Monday-Friday.
