Leopold’s young Lions debut at the weekend

PINT-sized footy players from Leopold took to the ground for their first under 9’s game for the season at the weekend. The players, and their parents, braved severe wind as Leopold Brown took on Portarlington Red in Portarlington on Saturday morning.

The Demons came home with the win, beating the Lions 6.10.46 to 1.0.6. Leopold coach Tom Carson said his players did well for their first game, and that having fun was what it was all about. Sheain Carroll was the Lion’s captain for Round 1.

Leopold Brown will take on Newcomb Blue this Saturday at Leopold Community Bank Oval at 11.10am.
