Libs pledge $3 million to upgrade Our Lady Star of the Sea

AN elected Liberal Nationals Government will invest $3 million to upgrade Our Lady Star of the Sea Primary School in Ocean Grove.

Liberal Candidate for Bellarine Brian McKiterick said his government would construct a multipurpose centre, which will include three general learning areas, a collaborative area, staff offices and small hall space as well as extending the carpark.

“In a growing area such as Ocean Grove, students from Our Lady of the Sea Star Primary School will greatly benefit from the Liberal Nationals upgrade,” Mr McKiterick said.

“Local families have praised Our Lady Star of the Sea as a wonderful school and this upgrade will
ensure that students have the very best facilities.”

Mr McKiterick said a critically important part of that choice was for parents to have the option of low-fee, independent and Catholic schools.

He said with the present population squeeze limiting parental choices, it had never been more important to support all three sectors of our school system.
