MORE than 90 homeowners and guests came together at Lifestyle Communities in Ocean Grove to raise a whopping $1,183.40 for the Andrew Love Cancer Centre in Geelong.

Last Tuesday, December 6, Lifestyle Ocean Grove kicked off their annual tree trimming and decorating tradition fundraiser which had the community as lively as ever.

More than 90 homeowners and guests turned out for the occasion.

Homeowners and guests smelled the divine odours of the sausage sizzle cooking while they played pickleball, croquet, water aerobics and decorated the huge pine trees out the front of Lifestyle in Ocean Grove to celebrate Christmas.

The tree glowed in all its irony during the night.

On top of the 90-plus attendees, members from the local CFA, police and ambulance services turned out to celebrate and fundraise for the cause.

“The day was so much fun and it was even better hearing all the feedback and laughter from the lovely homeowners and emergency services; police, fire and ambulance,” Community Manager at Lifestyle Ocean Grove, Dean Hall said.

Homeowners enjoyed plenty of different activities on the day.

“Our homeowners raised money in true Lifestyle spirit for the Andrew Love Cancer Centre, and to have it matched by the Foundation is incredible,” Lifestyle Managing Director, James Kelly said.

“A huge shout to everyone involved on the day.”

Locals and those travelling through the area over the next month are encouraged to pop in and see the Christmas tree at 60 Gambier Street, Ocean Grove.
