Local builder set for 50km challenge for charity
LOCAL Hotondo Homes builder Aaron Anstis is set to embark on a 50-kilometre trek to help raise funds for Make-A-Wish.
With his team and other local businesses behind him, Aaron is aiming to raise $10,000 to help make the wishes of kids fighting critical illness come true.
When Hotondo Homes partnered with Make-AWish Australia in 2014, Aaron was eager to help raise awareness and funds for the national charity, and was even awarded Hotondo Homes’ Make-AWish Star Contributor award in 2017.
With his eyes on the prize, Aaron will be completing the challenge at the Ocean Grove Nature Reserve, Grubb Road on May 25.
“Giving to the community is very important to me,” Aaron said.
“I am not a doctor or missionary and I can’t have an impact by healing people, but what I can do is raise awareness and money.
“I’ve had a number of local businesses sponsoring laps and donations from friends and family. My team will even be joining me for a few laps!”
Hotondo Homes Ocean Grove is inviting the local community to come down and help support Aaron on his challenge.
The team will also be hosting a small celebration at their sales office at 2/6 Sinclair Street, Ocean Grove from 5pm.
