Local groups set to compete in Caroloke

December 20, 2017 BY

GATEWAY Plaza Leopold has given traditional carols a fun twist with a “Caroloke” event tomorrow (Friday) night.

Local community groups and schools will show off their talents for a chance to win a $1,000 cash grand prize.

In full Bellarine community spirit, the merry event will include an array of Christmas songs and dances, with event-goers treated to delicious free samples from Schnitz and other retailers, along with spot prizes on the night including vouchers.

Participating community groups, including PGLD Geelong Line Dancing, will receive a $250 Gateway Plaza Leopold voucher for participating and also compete for the $1,000 cash grand prize to help support their important work.

Centre manager Russell Yelland said he was thrilled to be supporting local community groups while celebrating the festive season in true Bellarine style.

“We look forward to seeing local talent showcased at the Caroloke event and hope our customers enjoy the unique entertainment,” he said.

The event will run between 7-9pm.
