THINGS to do and see with your dog on the Bellarine will feature in a pet-friendly television travel special which airs later this month.

Pooches at Play series 4 sees host, animal welfare advocate and dog trainer Lara Shannon and her new co-host, Morgan Burrett from The Travel Bug, visit a range of popular tourist destinations across Australia, providing plenty of pet-friendly travel tips and fun activities to do with our canine companions.

Along the way, Lara and Morgan will also share many heart-warming stories that highlight the human-animal bond, and how pets positively impact on our mental and physical health, as they meet up with local community and pet rescue groups on their travels that are helping both people and pets in need.

There will also be the usual dog training, health, nutrition, grooming tips and other advice for taking care of pets when on holidays and back at home.

Premiering on July 20 on Channel 10, Episode one features things to do and see with your dog on the Bellarine, and Cherished Pets charity group that is helping elderly and vulnerable people in the local community care for their pets during times of need.

Then in Episode 2 on July 27, the Pooches at Play team checks out the pet friendly things to do with your dog when visiting the seaside towns of Torquay and Jan Juc, along the Great Ocean Road. Tips include after-beach grooming and other useful health, nutrition and training advice, including how to re-train reactive dogs due to anxiety and poor socialisation.

The eight episodes will go to air at 2pm.
