Local riding program needs volunteers
Riding for the Disabled Barwon is once again on the lookout for volunteers. Based at Koombahla Park Equestrian Centre in Wallington, sessions are held on Thursday and Friday mornings and cater for up to 40 young riders. No specific skills are required beyond liking horses and children. A volunteers’ training session starts on Thursday, February 15 at 9.30am – everyone is welcome. Riding for the Disabled Association of Australia (RDAA) is a voluntary, non-profit organisation that provides opportunities for anyone with a disability to enjoy safe, healthy, stimulating, therapeutic, horse-related activities in Australia.
