FINALISTS for the Australian Beauty Industry Awards (ABIA) 2024 have been announced, with the Bellarine’s Vitality Laser and Skin clinic making the list.

Nominated in two categories, ABIA VIC/TAS Clinic of the Year 2024 and ABIA Junior Therapist of the Year, the awards put them in the running with some of the best in the country.

Director and owner Annette Harman said she feels very humbled to have been nominated and it’s given her the opportunity to reflect on how far they’ve come.

“You’ve really got to step back and think about what’s really important, to count the wins and look at how the business Vitality has evolved and the name we have in Geelong and the Bellarine.

“It’s an accolade that I’m so very proud of and not only myself but my team and clients who have been supporting us along the way of the two decades, it’s been a great achievement.”

The ABIA’s were launched in 2011 by industry authority Mocha Group and provides a benchmark of excellence across specialist and individual categories.

This years entries were judged by more than 30 industry icons who play a crucial role in recognising and celebrating excellence.

Vitality Laser and skins’ Emily Spackman was nominated for junior beauty therapist of the year, currently in the last year of her bachelor’s degree.

“Emily’s been in the industry for four years and she’s very popular, very well sought clinician at Vitality and she continues to upskill and keep up with the industry,” Ms Harman said.

The team are all well qualified with six dermal clinicians and qualified aestheticians, along with a medical team who come in fortnightly for injectables.

Ms Harman believes it’s their education and team skill that makes them stand out in the industry.

“We pride ourselves in offering state-of-the-art services with a team who are highly educated.

“We’re always keeping up with the latest advancements in our industry and we’re always evolving, keeping up with the latest equipment and technology, that’s really important in our industry.

“Gratitude goes to our team because they put in every day and transforming skins and building confidence in our client’s skin and that’s what it’s all about.”
