Lonny to light up for music event
TICKETS are selling fast for Point Lonsdale Boardriders Club’s annual Lighthouse Party music extravaganza.
The February 1 fundraising event will be held under the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse and raise vital funds for club infrastructure and to support junior development.
2023 Meredith Music Festival headliner Milo Eastwood, local garage psyc band BEANS, sweet rock and rollers The Fillmores, surfy soul five-piece TheShags and DJ’s Ollie Holmes and Matteo are all set to hit the stage.
The event will be proudly partnered by CBCo Brewing, Wonki and Pool Wines.
Point Lonsdale BRC president Max Lazarus said he looked forward to seeing everyone having a dance for a good cause.
“Tickets are moving real quick, we’ve had an amazing response so far and its been blowing up on socials.
“We are rapt to have Milo back on again this year, alongside a real local lineup. We believe it’s our market.
“We hope to repeat what we’ve done in our previous years and consolidate the success we’ve had over recent years.”
He said the club’s popular Lonny Groms program has been made a reality thanks to the Lighthouse Party.
“This event has brought the community together and assisted us to run our new junior surfing program.
“We’ve got 100 new groms coming through the program, and its been given a big helping hand from this event.”
Artwork for this year’s event has been completed by Max De Boo.
