Marchant encourages locals to apply for Tiny Town Fund
BELLARINE MP Alison Marchant is encouraging the community in her electorate to apply for Round 2 of the Tiny Towns Fund.
Grants of between $5,000 and $50,000 are available to boost tourism, liveability and community pride in towns with up to 5,000 people.
From new barbecues, bike tracks and walking trails to club and community hall upgrades, the grants will support projects set to make a positive difference to the community.
Portarlington, Indented Head, St Leonards, Queenscliff, Swan Bay, Point Lonsdale, Mannerim, and Barwon Heads are among the towns according to size who could benefit from funding.
“The Tiny Towns Fund empowers small communities to thrive, ensuring projects that locals are passionate about can become a reality,” Ms Marchant said.
More than $7 million was granted statewide during round one of the Tiny Towns Fund earlier this year.
Five new projects are set to be delivered at the Queenscliff Museum, Indented Head Yacht Club, St Leonards Program Association, Portarlington Bayside Miniature Railway Inc and Bellarine Bears Baseball Club.
