McKiterick preselected to contest Bellarine

VETERAN police officer and Surf Coast Shire councillor Brian McKiterick is set to take on State Police Minister Lisa Neville at November’s state election. Cr McKiterick was recently endorsed as the Liberal candidate for the Bellarine electorate, which has been held by Ms Neville since 2002.

In 2014, Ms Neville defeated Liberal candidate Ron Nelson to retain the seat. “Elections for me are not about the candidates, but about delivering for the community I represent,” Ms Neville said. “I will treat all candidates with courtesy, as I have always done.”
