MP offering free sanitiser
MEMBER for Western Victoria Stuart Grimley is offering free sanitiser for small businesses to provide to customers throughout the region assisting the public to maintain high levels of hygiene.
“During the COVID-19 pandemic I saw people – including the elderly and mothers – unable to purchase sanitiser because it was either out of stock or expensive,” Mr Grimley said.
“It’s taken since the start of the pandemic to actually have them made, but as we’re all aware this need to keep hygienic will continue for many years so we should keep these habits going.”
He said businesses could contact him to get their free sanitiser, and that offering the free product to businesses was a fast way to increase community usage of hand sanitiser.
“Businesses – small businesses especially – have been hit extremely hard, and despite having less income they’ve had to change their whole game plan. In most cases this has actually cost money – customer screens, extra cleaning – so this is something really small that can help the businesses be COVID-responsible but not cost them anything either.
“I’m hoping with more readily available sanitizers and other products available, good self-hygiene will just become the new norm and hopefully reduce any future outbreaks.”
Mr Grimley said all small businesses within the Western Victoria electorate were eligible for the free sanitiser including the Surf Coast, Bellarine, Geelong region as well as Ballarat and the
Golden Plains.
“They just need to contact me at [email protected] or through my social media (Facebook and Instagram),” he said.
“Better in everyone else’s pockets than in my office.”
Businesses are limited to 25 sanitisers, which are 70 to 80 per cent ethanol. Offer available while stocks last.
