APCO has opened its doors at its new Mt Duneed location, featuring the new face of convenience and a first of its kind for the brand.

Officially welcoming customers today (July 23), the servo includes Cafe24-7 barista made coffee, fresh food customers know and love and is now complete with the very first Anderson’s Supermarket.

The new addition brings a supermarket experience to the store, including products from daily essentials through to dinner for the family.

Anderson’s Supermarket is designed to deliver more for its customers’ dollar, with prices comparable to major supermarkets and without compromising on quality or convenience.

Products available will include fresh fruit and vegetables, ready-to-go meals, pantry staples and a wide range of locally sourced items.

APCO director Robert Anderson said it is the beginning of a new era for the brand; a business started 56 years ago by his parents Ron and Margaret Anderson.

“There is something quite nostalgic about resonating the Anderson name once again within the business, as Anderson’s Supermarket,” he said.

“Mt Duneed is our most exciting store to date — Bringing the Anderson name as a supermarket brand into our stores is a big step, and yes, it’s a bold one.

“But we believe in backing ourselves. We’re proud to offer a supermarket experience that reflects our values: trusted, dependable and convenient with good-old fashioned APCO service to our local community.”

Store manager Ryan Dawson said he was looking forward to being able to service the community.

“I’m looking forward to the community’s reaction, we think that they will, hopefully, be surprised and really excited about what we can offer

“We’re creating local jobs, we’ve hired close to 40 people and we’re supporting that local community, supporting local providers and businesses around the area.”

APCO will hold an official grand opening on August 31, from 10am until 12pm, inviting the whole community along to check out the new location.

As part of the opening day, there will be an official ribbon cutting, live music, Supercar sedan on site, face painting, balloons, family giveaways and MasterChef’s Tim Bone.
