Mulder bids for RACV board

September 3, 2020 BY

John Mulder is seeking support to join the board of RACV.

TORQUAY’S John Mulder is seeking to be the voice for regional Victoria and represent members’ interests if his candidacy is successful in RACV’s board election.

This month more than 2.2 million RACV members are being asked to pick from five candidates seeking a four-year appointment from two board vacancies.

Almost one third of auto club’s members live in regional Victoria and Mr Mulder said the elections are an opportunity to select candidates who represent their interests in Victoria’s most respected and influential motoring body.

He said he’s held many senior executive roles and board appointments including deputy-chief of Barwon Health and is the current captain at Torquay Golf Club.

Mr Mulder also said he was looking forward to contributing as a non-executive director to an organisation most suited to his skills and experience.

“In the RACV I see an organisation focused on building safer and healthier communities and given I have spent most of my life in the same pursuit I’m well placed to make a strong contribution” he said.

“Living and working the majority of my life in regional Victoria I am acutely aware of the transport challenges facing regional motorists often travelling on roads not fit for purpose.

“As a motoring enthusiast and motorcyclist, road safety is a high priority in my life and if elected to the board I will be certain to pursue member interests in these areas.”

Mr Mulder encouraged all RACV members to vote. For more information and to view candidate’s statements and details, head to racv.com.au.
