SEAROAD Ferries will officially open its new $15.9 million Queenscliff Ferry terminal on April 20, 2023, further enhancing visitor experience for those venturing across the sea.

Years of planning and hard work will culminate next month when the entirety of the world class building opens to the public for the very first time.

Featuring safer access for pedestrians, high quality experiences and improved disability access, the brand-new facility will also have a restaurant and café which will offer spectacular views of Port Phillip Bay and Port Phillip Heads.

The facility will be officially opened on April 20.

The first floor of the facility opened January 2023, with the passenger gantry for accessible boarding, a digital immersive experience and an expanded food offering being completed since January.

Searoad Ferries CEO Matt McDonald said opening up the full facility this April would be a monumental achievement.

“We are very excited to be opening the Queenscliff Ferry Terminal after what has been a challenging three years,” Mr McDonald said.

“The internal fit-out of the Queenscliff Ferry Terminal is of the highest quality that perfectly complements the surrounding natural environment and we can’t wait for it to be officially opened.”

The new building will help to support the 8,200 crossings and 950,000 passengers that come through the ferry service annually from both the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsula areas.
