Music legends rock at Leura

Icehouse’s Iva Davies enjoys the spotlight.

AUSTRALIAN rock music legends hit the stage at Leura Park Estate at the weekend, with almost 5,000 people in attendance.

The bands Icehouse, Sunnyboys, The Church, Do Re Mi and Mental As Anything impressed the crowds and have received nothing but praise, however, event-goers have turned to social media to voice their disappointment towards the food and beverage service.

Presented by By The C, many attendees said wait times for drinks were up to 45 minutes and food an hour, with some food trucks running out, and a severe wi-fi outage had a chronic impact on being able to process any eftPOS transactions during the afternoon.

This was made worse by the fact that attendees were not permitted to BYO any food, drinks or alcohol.

Leura Park Estate has addressed several of these issues in a lengthy response on its Facebook page and stated, “By The C staged an awesome concert, we were responsible for the site issues and queues and are working very hard to rectify for the next concerts”.
