SOME of the most exceptional nature photography will be on display at the National Wool Museum Geelong as the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition returns.
On loan from the Natural History Museum in London, the exhibition is now in its 61st year and captures hidden animal behaviour and unique species.
More than just an exhibition, the annual display is a call to appreciate and protect the natural world.
National Wool Museum director Padriac Fisher said they are thrilled to share the exhibition with the community.

“Wildlife photographer of the Year is one of the most celebrated exhibitions in the world, and it’s a privilege to bring these stunning images to Geelong.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition is the most prestigious photography event of its kind and receives more than 60,000 entries from 113 countries and territories around the world.
Open to photographers of all ages, nationalities and experience levels, the touring exhibition and outreaching activities engages millions around the globe every year.

“Now in its 61st year, we are thrilled to continue Wildlife Photography of the Year as a powerful platform for visual storytelling, showing the diversity, beauty and complexity of the natural world and humanity’s relationship to it,” Natural History Museum director Dr Doug Gurr said.
“With the inclusion of our Biodiversity Intactness Index, this year’s exhibition will be our best combination of great artistry and ground-breaking science yet, helping visitors to become inspired to be advocates for our planet.”
Wildlife Photographer of the Year will be on display in Geelong until May 17.
