Neville launches refurbished Indented Head Hall
BELLARINE MP Lisa Neville officially launched the recently refurbished Indented Head Hall earlier this week.
The $450,000 refurbishment was made possible thanks to a State Government Community Support Fund grant of $250,000, while the Hall’s Committee of Management, Bellarine Bayside contributed $200,000 of in-kind project management.
The funding was used to remove asbestos and replace the roof and external walls of the hall, which has served the town for more than 60 years.
“I commend the Indented Head Community Association, other user groups and Bellarine Bayside on their ongoing work in ensuring the hall continues to be the focal point of town life and a valuable heritage asset for Indented Head residents and generations to come,” Ms Neville said.
“The Indented Head Hall is much-loved and used by locals and now with the refurbishment completed the hall will continue to be used by locals for years to come.”
Groups such as the Indented Head Boat Club and Yacht Club, the St Leonards Film Society, walking group “Locomote”, the Greek Orthodox Association, and importantly the Indented Head Community Association use the hall regularly.
In addition, the hall is used for yoga and pilates classes, local social functions and community meetings.
