New 180 went swimmingly

February 1, 2018 BY

The 26th Queenscliff 180 Family Swim, previously known as the Queenscliff Blue Water Challenge, was held last Saturday with about 430 participants across a variety of ages and experience levels.

Master of ceremonies for the day Wes Cusworth thought it was inspiring to see such a range of swimmers at the local event.

“The fun and friendly community event not only provided a platform for us to learn more about Parkinson’s Disease, but allowed participants to contribute in a meaningful way while improving their own state of health,” he said.

Event co-director Liam Petrie-Allbutt was incredibly pleased with turn out on Saturday.

“We had an amazing amount of support from volunteers and sponsors, but most importantly the participants from 10 years of age to over 70 years old who turned out to enjoy the beautiful conditions, making the day one to remember,” he said.
