New home, bigger game for Drummond

GEELONG’S largest golf retailer is now even bigger than ever before.

Drummond Golf Geelong has relocated from Moorabool Street to 8-12 Pakington Street, Geelong West.

The business, which has been in Geelong for 30 years, has more than doubled in size to cater for the increased demand for the sport in the region.

Drummond Golf Geelong franchisee owner Loren Bunting said the move has allowed the business to offer even more to their customers.

“Golf has become hugely popular,” Bunting said. “We needed to upscale to keep up with demand. We needed more stock and more room.

“We grew the business to a point where it wasn’t sustainable to be there anymore; it didn’t offer what Geelong needed.

“The biggest change people will see is the five simulators, rather than two. We are using both of the leading tracking devices in the market: Trackman and GCQuad.”

Customers will be able to walk in and try products without having to book in advance.

Meanwhile, custom and personalised fittings are in high demand.

The golf destination still offers a vast range of clubs, apparel and equipment from major brands to cater for juniors to elite players.

Drummond Golf Geelong, at 8-12 Pakington Street, Geelong West, is open Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm and Saturday 9am-4pm.
